The real estate market was on FIRE throughout most of the GTA in October. After a more typical summer market, things began picking up again in September and that upward trend carried into October.
High demand and low availability continue to dominate the market, and show very little signs of slowing down anytime soon.
In Toronto Central, townhomes experienced the highest year-over-year jump with average pricing climbing 20% between October 2020 & 2021.
Over in Toronto West, semi-detached homes experienced the strongest growth with a 19.4% increase from this time last year.
In Toronto East, the average price of detached homes and townhouses grew by 19-23% year-over-year!
Here in Durham Region, average pricing is up between 28.3-36.9% for all home types.
Up in York Region, competition is still fierce with homes leaving the market between 7-8 days sooner than this time last year.
